Homework

Homework Challenge : P5 Compete in a sport for an entire season.

I play football and I have been playing it since I was five years old. I have played in Australia and here in New Zealand I have scored so much goals last season I was one of the top scorers for our team. Our team trains Tuesday's and Thursday's every week and once every year we do the Mount Challenge. The Mount Challenge is where you run up the Mount once take a break up the top and then coming back down and the goal is not to stop on the way. This year we are competing against a team of year Nine netballers who challenged us. After we do the Mount Challenge we do things on the beach like relays and touch rugby then once we have finished that we go and relax in the Mount Hot Pool's. Last year was one of our most difficult years in football because we had to verse Thirteen year old's. Every season we have a tournament that Papamoa host’s.
My team is all Thirteen year old’s and One Twelve year old. This year we are one of the only thirteen year old team’s in our competition so this year it will be a bit easier for us. Last year our team finished 6th out of 9. Papamoa Red Devils was our team last year and it is this year as well. Last year Red Devils got 13 points, we won 3 drew 4 and lost 9.
I am continuing my football and my dream is to play for Melbourne Victory and then move up in my career .

This is my team that just finished playing Onehunga. Onehunga is one of the best teams in Auckland and the North Island

Real Madrid have passed Manchester United with the most valuable team. Manchester United have held the most valuable team since the list started in 1994. Real Madrid had a team value of USD $3.17 billion dollars, Barcelona was third with $US2.6 billion dollars. Forbes has also valued the highest earner, with David Beckham first with $US 50.6 million dollars, Cristiano Ronaldo was second at $US 43.5 million and Barcelona's Lionel Messi third at $US 40.3 million dollars.

I reckon that Real Madrid should've got this a long time ago but it's great that Real Madrid are the most valuable club also because this is my favorite team. But I do not get how David Beckham is the highest earner, I reckon that Cristiano Ronaldo should be first, Lionel Messi second and then David Beckham.

Fights broke out between Borussia Dortmund fans and suspected touts as the remaining tickets for the club's ULC (Uefa Champions League) semi-final first leg against Real Madrid. Limited number's of extra tickets became available on Tuesday morning at several different places around Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund have their work cut out for them also Barcelona will play Bayern Muchen. This is one of the most biggest games in ULC semi final stages. I believe that Real Madrid will win because they have a great attacking line-up and a great defensive line-up as well including five of the eleven players of the year including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas, Marcelo and Xabi Alonso.

The state of Florida in America is been swamped with giant snails. Over the last few weeks more than 1000 have been found in the Miami-Dade county area. The giant african land snail can grow as big as a    rat and can also damage buildings. It attacks over 500 different species of plants. The worry is that Florida could soon be badly hit by the snail because some Caribbean islands like Barbados, where snail shells on the roads cause accidents, pavements and walls have been coated in slime.

I think this could become a big issue as there are lots of the species.

Barcelona's South American representative Andre Cury has openly claimed the club's aspiration to complete a deal with the Santos striker and that the team is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Neymar. Although both team's have remained timid on the anticipation on the deal of signing the Santos striker. Cury told Radio Globo that Barcelona is "extremely interested in Neymar."
Neymar has assured that he will stay with Santos until the end of the world cup in 2014.

I believe this is a big step for Neymar but he will be able to handle it as Barcelona has been eager to sign Neymar, so they will be very excited to sing the striker.

Homework Expectations

Amount
We think that 30-45 minutes every weeknight is a reasonable expectation for homework. Per week that equals approximately 2.5 hours per week of homework.
2 terms = 20 weeks. Every homework task should take you 5 hours to do.

Quality
You need to work on each homework task for at least 2.5 to 5 hours. It should like it was done by a year 8 student. The product you make (if relevant) should look good quality.

Blog Post
- must be at least 2 paragraphs
- has to be punctuated correctly, spell checked and no errors
- you must include which category and task number in your post title so Miss C can sign you off.

A New Zealand study has found how much time college students spend on Facebook and academic performance. The Canterbury University that has 106 high school and 211 university students found that the longer college students spent on Facebook the lower their grades were. The study found 56% of college students spent at least 15 minutes to an hour on Facebook, while 54% of university spent five to fifteen minutes on Facebook.  My opinion is students shouldn't go on Facebook as much.
