Dear Santa
I would like to inform you that I do not have a chimney. Does this mean that I will not get presents this year? Can I please have a go in your magic sack and play with your toys? I also would like you to eat my cookies that I leave out for you because I have been waiting 5 years for those things to go. I would also like to ride on your reindeer and deliver the presents to the good children.
I am wondering how do you know which kids have been good and have been bad? How many elves do you own because you get everything done so quickly. Here is a list of the things I would like for my Christmas.
-I would like the new CR7 galaxy football boots
-The Nike GS boots (Both colors)
-The official Brazil Home kit (football)
-VIP seats in every game that Borussia Dortmund play.
-25.5 million dollars
Yours Sincerely
Nathan

45 Minute Inquiry
In 2006 Turin hosted the curling sport. Canada won gold medals, Silver was won by Finland and bronze was won by U.S.A. But in 2010 at the Vancouver winter games, Canada took home the gold medals again, with Norway taking silver and bronze was takin buy Switzerland.
This sport is played with 4 members per team (2 in mixed doubles). The sport is played with a rock like shape made out of Granite. The teams have two members out front brushing the ice so the Granite rock slows down. At the other end of the field is a target area which the teams have to try and get the Granite rock into. There are 4 areas at the other end and the middle one is worth most points. Each nation/team has 8 Granite rocks each.
This sport (curling) had it's first written reference on paper in 1541. Also thought to be played around the medieval times in Scotland. Curling was first played on frozen water with painted target areas at the other end. Curling was first played in the olympics in 1929 but was officially added to the olympics in 1998.

The Lone Ranger is a film directed by Gore Verbinski, and is produced by Jerry Bruckhelmer and Gore Verbinski. Some of the actors in this movie are Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, William Fitchner, Tom Wilkinson and many more.
The Lone Ranger is a 2013 film, that is set in western outback of America. Johnny Depp plays Tonto who recounts the untold tales of a John Reid, the western sheriff, into a legend of justice. it starts off with Tonto in a train trapped, while some guys take over the train. The guys that take over the train end up saving one of the guys stuck with Tonto in a room.
The person ends up breaking free, John Reid hears the shooting in the back cabin and goes to investigate the problem. When he gets there he finds himself getting tied to the chain, and letting the guys get away. While this all happens the people up the front of the train die, from the people taking of the train, and they force the train into full speed and can't stop it. Tonto and John Reid and save the day.
This is a movie I love and would see anytime. I think this movie would suit a family with kids that love comedy. 9 out of 10

My Older friends
I've got some older friends (I"m 13, they are 14/15) who have invited me to a party on Saturday night at someone's house. I'm pretty sure everyone there will be drinking. I've never had alcohol before. I'm going to tell my parents that I'm staying the night at my friend's. I feel quite nervous, cos I know it's bad. What should I do?
I think you should go to the party and see what happens if you don't know about drinking maybe you should try a bit but if you do don't get to carried away. Make sure they don't trick you into any other things like taking drugs.

On Friday week 1 we went to life ed. It was our first session since last year. Michael was the man who was talking to us about how to get out of using drugs, and why they are bad and good. He talked to us about if you were at a beach party and some guy pulled out a bag of drugs and they passed it round. Each person would take one when it gets to you what would you do? He also talked to us about Reach Wits.

Give Advice.
I found out my two friends smoke. I'm only 13. I don't know what to do. I am really confused. Please help.
Give advice?
I think you guys should talk to your parents so they know what your doing. Make sure you hang out with the right people that won't get you into this. What I would do is I would see a guidance councilor, because they will be able to help you, and find out why you are doing all this stuff. Smoking can cause lung cancer but can also cause lots of other cancers and illnesses. Smoking causes over 100,000 deaths in the UK each year and contributes to many more. Of these deaths, about 42,800 are from smoking related cancers, 30,600 from cardiovascular disease and 29,100 die slowly from emphysema and other chronic lung diseases.

James Webster's death
"He was full of life" nitty, funny, and a neat kid, said James Uncle Donald. James Webster age of 16 went to their local RSA, for a 18th birthday party, and had a bottle vodka and never woke up. The family of a King's College student who died after a night out drinking are hoping his death will put something out there showing the dangers of teenage drinking. He got the bottle out of his Grandma's cupboard and also told his dad that he was going to his friends house to stay the night but lied and went to the RSA. He drank the bottle end his car.

Movie Review
Meet the Spartans
Meet the spartans is directed by Jason Frieburg and Aaron Seltzer, also written by the same people who directed it. Some of the big stars are Sean Maguire, Kevin Sorbo, Carmen Electra and much more. This takes place out in a small village in the middle of nowhere, where the heroic Spartan king Leonidas, armed with nothing but leather underwear and a cape, leads a ragtag bunch of 13 Spartan misfit warriors to defend their homeland against thousands of persian's.
I like this movie because it is an hilirious movie, it is a movie that has scenes where you think something bad is going to happen then something else happens.
Someone that likes a laugh should watch this movie because I guarantee you, you will laugh.
This movie has a been rated 2.6 out of 10 but I think it should be at least a 5 out of 10. I got the rating off the website IMob

What annoy's me?
What annoys me?
Something that annoys me is people bragging their talents. In football, Balotelli thinks he is the best footballer, he has been in so many fights with football players because he thinks he is the best. Once when he scored a goal he pulled up his shirt and it said "why always me?" Also some of the celebrations footballers do are pretty ridiculous.

For and Against
Pizza Hut is better than Wendy's.
For
Pizza Hut as more healthy things in its pizza than Wendy's do in their burger's.
Pizza Hut is more tastier than Wendy's because it's got a different range of styles.
Pizza Hut has better quality foods and has a bigger range of pizza than wendy's do of their burgers. Like Wendy's has only one style of burger and that's just full of meat, Pizza Hut has pizza's with salad foods in it.
Pizza Hut has better value because at Wendy's you get a single burger for at least $8.90 and at Pizza Hut you can get a pizza for $4.90.

For
• Computer gaming is something you can do when there is nothing to do around.

I am big and fluffy.
I walk around all day eating.
I'm fat, it is hard to walk on 4 legs.
I make one noise and thats it.
I'm owned by people around the world.
Sometimes you find me in your dinner.
I'm tasty with gravy.
I have two lazy eyes.

I see the red big building in the distance.
I see the bus waiting at the stop.
I see the people with their animals. The signs saying vet.
I smell the petrol taking over.
Shoppers going out to the cold with their weekly shopping.
Chocolate bars fill my stomach.
I smell the chicken cooking.

My best day of the holidays
My favorite day of the holidays would of been my German students arriving. On Friday the 26th of July my German students arrived, the only reason we have two is because we are looking after one for our friend while they are in England. Their names are Alex and Chris. They both like football, and they brought heaps of lollies over from Germany and they taste really nice. I think they bought about 5-8kg's of lollies from Germany. They like everything I like and we always play football. Another favorite day would of been catching up with my friend who I haven't seen for a while. I was there for 5 days Monday to Friday and all we did was play Fifa 13 all day for 5 days, because there isn't much to do at his house.

Term2Overview
Main events we have had term 2 were camp, cross country, interhouse football and more. interhouse football has been my favorite competition of this term. Our first game was against Matai, Matai was a hard game because some of their players were pretty fast sprinters and they were aggressive. But that's not a problem, in the end we won 3-1. Then we played Kauri and won 6-1. I think we grew as a team because we were knowing each others abilities. A lowlight I have had would be losing in the final of interhouse football. Someone in our team stepped in the red circle and gave away a penalty. They scored and won the match. I have improved on my cross country moving up two places from last year, I got 10th last year and got 8th this year. And also my maths I have gone up a group and aced the Ikan as well. Something I still need to improve on is my writing because my punctuation isn't very good.

Service in school and community: S3: Become a tech angel and provide technical support.
On Friday the 28th of June, Flynn and I visited Greenpark school to help provide technical support. The class we chose was room 8 because that was Flynn's favorite teacher. We left Tauranga Intermediate School at 1:00 pm and got there at 1:10 pm. We got there just as soon as the bell rang. It was sorta weird walking in to the school I was at two years ago. We walked in the door with two packs of jelly joiners, the kids eyes lit up like fireworks. Ms Dawn (the teacher of the class) asked us to look at their class blog. When they got to the site Flynn and I were impressed, their blog had shiny or sparkly things, it had lots and lots of things that would get you to look at it. Ms Dawn asked us if we wanted to go out for a run, We looked at each other and said "yeah sure." We got out there and couldn't remember how to do it. The teacher's had a new type of system were you get cards for going past the teachers, I thought it was a good way to get the kids running, Another teacher asked if anyone wanted to use their red cards. Flynn said to me "is that for them to go first or what?" I replied saying I don't know? Then the kids went over to the P.E shed and grabbed out a ball. FREETIME. That's a good way to get the kids running, the more the run the more red cards they get.
After we finished we showed them our blogs and Online Learning Journals, and the kids look amazed. At the end of our day we gave out lollies to the kids, they walked around the tennis court's talking about what they learned. When we left I walked to mum's work and sat down on the couch. I thought "could I go to the dairy, I mean it's after school?" I went to mum and asked, she said "school's finished, ok sure come right back though" "Ok" I said. I got back with $3.00 worth of lollies and $2.00 drink.
The day I had was a really fun day with kids, that I once was. The kids were really nice they had good manners, they had good question's. I hope I get a homework challenge like this again.

A bad product I have bought
MacDonalds
In the year 2011, I bought a cheeseburger from MacDonalds. We got home and I took a bite, I thought it tasted weird. I looked in side to find nothing but cheese, I mean when I ask for a cheeseburger I don't just want cheese. So we took it back, the guy serving us was not happy at all. He yelled down to the back of MacDonalds for someone, someone raced up to the front with another cheeseburger this time we were hoping it had at least a patty in it. Dad and I checked to see if it had everything and of course it had everything in it. I got home and had a cheeseburger with a patty in it.

My Science Fair
This year for science fair I'm doing does your height affect a jump? The way I did it was I got a person to do a one step jump and reach as high as they can, when they reach the maximum height they will make a mark on the wall. I got a measuring tape and measured the jump. I also took their height and their height jumped and minused the height jumped by the height of the person, this took how high they jumped compared to how high they actually are. I thought that the taller people will jump higher than the smaller people because the taller people have longer arms so it’s easier to reach higher. But I thought that also the smaller people will jump around the same height as the tall people.

CAPTCHA
CAPTCHA is a program where it processes thousands and thousands of old books. It processes them in a way that it gets words from those books that are hard to read, humans type in the word for the computer so that it gives it a word like that or exactly like the word. It is also to stop people from spamming on your blog/site. About 200 million people solve these word problem everyday. Every word takes about 10 seconds to solve unless you refresh the word, each day it takes 150,000 hours in a total of solving. One of the words is and easy word that the computer knows and another word that the computer doesn't know.
I think it would be good for sites like Facebook and other social networking.

G1: Give to children in need: Participate in the 20 hour famine . Raise a minimum of $40.
On Saturday the 8th of June, I participated in my first 20 hour famine. It started off easy, but then became more difficult towards dinner time. I was only allowed to eat barley sugars and drink just juice or water. I only had about 5 barley sugars during the 20 hours.
The next day I woke up hungry and ready to finish the 20 hour famine, but I still had two and a half hours to go. I spent this time sitting next to the pantry on my xbox. When that time had finished I was more relieved than anything. So after my stack of pancakes and muffin's I didn't feel hungry anymore.
I have raised a total of $100. I joined the red team which was Brad and Marty from the edge, the amount raised by the red team was $77, 559.09 and the total raised all together by the teams was 216, 116. 62.
This years famine was to raise money for the children and communities of Bougainville Papua New Guinea.

It's got pretty much most nationalities in the world that have a team. Fifa 13 is one of my most favorite game's I have played. Fifa 13 has lots of online and offline options, like offline career mode, online ultimate team and many more. One of my favorite one's on Fifa is Pro Clubs Seasons. Pro Clubs Seasons is where you make a player of your choice, you choose your name and make your face. And then you can either join a team, make a team or just do a drop in game. I play for a team in the division 4 which is the 4th best division in the world.

In the first half I scored 1 goal and in the second half I scored 3. In our game there were 3 hat tricks and 14 goals. The final score was 14-0. After the game finished we went to macca's and when we got to the drive-through we changed our mind. We decided to go in. We got to the place were you order and drove right past it, all of it. Later on that day we played mini put. Me and Kullen lost. His granddad won. After that they took me back to my place were we waited for like 30 minutes for mum to get home. I asked mum if Kullen could stay at our house and the usual response, "Of course." The next day we dropped Kullen back home and went to bayfair.

Rimu Study
A5: Improve your study skills: Research Rimu where do you find it? Why is it important to Maori? What uses does it have? Why is Rimu the best tree in the school?
Rimu
The Rimu tree is a large native evergreen tree that lives in the New Zealand forest's. There is also a different name for the Rimu tree, this name is the Dacrydium Cupressinum. Rimu tree's live up to 800 to 900 years old. The straight trunk of a Rimu is normally 1.5m in diameter, but may be larger in old or very tall Rimu's.
The leaves on a Rimu have spikes on them and can sometime's be very sharp. Rimu is used to make house hold furniture such as dining tables, coffee tables and bedroom furniture because of it's appearance. Rimu is a slow-growing tree, eventually reaching height's of up to 50m, although most surviving large trees are up to 20 - 35 m. Rimu is important to Maori because in the older days the Maori used it as a medicine for cuts or burn's.
Rimu is the best house in the school because we have the best teachers and the best students. We work as a team because we are the red army and we don't hurt or offend other's.

My idiom
1. When pigs fly.
2. About something that will never happen, like someone saying something that is impossible.
3. "I'm gonna do a double back-flip on the ground.""Just like pigs can fly!"
4. Dad always says, "Oh fire in the whole." and he only says it when he farts.
5. When pigs fly, it has been a traditional Scottish proverb, was first written in 1586 in an edition. It's also a way to joke that someone will never do something or something will never happen. Example: "Do you think you will ever work at that company again?" Reply: "When pigs fly!"

A1: Improve your maths ability: Complete a random 10 x 10 grid in under 2 minutes.
A1: Improve your maths ability: Complete a random 10 x 10 grid in under 2 minutes.
On Saturday 8 June, I started the 10 x 10 grid challenge.
The challenge was to complete a grid made up of times tables from 1-10 (see below), in under two minutes.
My first attempt was timed at 2 minutes 10 seconds, so I knew that it wasn't going to be easy & that I had to complete it at least 10 seconds faster.
I decided to try it again on Monday & this time it took me 2 minutes 5 seconds. Mum printed me off another sheet, started the stopwatch & I tried it once more - 1 minute 55 seconds.
It felt good to have completed this challenge in a short time.
