Hungry Hungry Hippo

It was a cold and cloudy saturday. Quman had only just woken up from a big day of work. Quman had paid a visit to his local supermarket when he nearly forgot to feed his big fat angry hungry hippo. Quman got out of his car to feed his hippo, Numan. Quman jumped on to his boat with a big bag of apple's, oranges and lettuce and stuff like that and then sped across the flat mirror like river to feed Numan when his boat stopped. He was panicking because he knew that 9:00 am was Numan's feeding time. Quman grabbed 2 circle thingies and put the food on them. Then pushed them across they got to the ground, Quman jumped into the river destroying the mirror like water. Numan was mad raging actually, Quman didn't know what to do he was frightened of Numan breaking free and eating him. Luckily Quman got to the other side and fed Numan but Numan was not satisfied with his breakfast. Numan raged crying and crying he broke free and ate Quman. The next day the new owner of Numan was much nicer than Quman,  Bruman Quman's brother fed him everyday just before 9:00 am, Numan was always happy and lived a grate life.

Heart Rate

What is heart rate? Heart rate is when you count the beats of your heart every minute. While you are running your heart reate speeds up also when you are relaxed and breathing normally your heart rate slows down.
What is normall heart rate for someone your age? (show how it's worked out.) I am 13 and the normal heart rate for a 13 year old is in between 70 to 120 beats per minute.
When you exercise your heart rate..? It increases when you exercise but when your relaxing it decreases.
How does your heart change as you get older? You heart rate is slower as a older person because you dont move as much and you won't breath as fast as someone who is 5 or 12 years old.
How can you measure heart rate? You can measure a heart rate with two fingers on your neck or on your wrist.

Room 43

Yesterday our class went in groups to room 43. The reason we went to room 43 is because their proper room burnt down a couple weeks ago. We meet all the students in room 43, Bobby showed us around the class. He showed us where he works and where the other students work. I think it's going to be a different experience for us. The kids in room 43 are really nice.

I hope they have a good time in their new class.

Weekend Post

Surprisingly our football team drew in the weekend. We drew 2-2 with Mount Madrid, it was a pretty intense game, we had chances and then they would have chances. Unfortunately the opening goal went to Mount. At half-time the score was 2-0 but we did come back and drew 2-2, I scored. Then we went to Bayfair and had our eye test. Even though I had supposed to be wearing glasses for school work. I had my eye test and my left eye had got better. Unfortunately I still have to wear glasses but only at home.

Science Post

One of the many bad things teenagers do are drink alcohol. Another bad thing with teenagers is smoking, video gaming and obesity and depression. 12th graders smoke marijuana, 36.4 percent (1/3) reported use marijuana at least once in the past year, up from 31.5 percent 5 years ago.
Alcohol poisoning and suicide are also major causes of alcohol-related teen deaths. (9% and 15%, respectively), but even bigger cause than you think. A third of teen drivers who die alcohol-related deaths are victimes of homiside.

I think that this should effect the other teenagers because they see what happens when you do this kind of stuff.

Gravity changed the world if it hadn't been here everyone would be floating round in circles up through the air. Gravity holds all the planets together, Isaac Newton discovered gravity in 1664 he found out that gravity kept us down on the ground and not in the sky. Gravity helped form the universe, it keeps the moon in orbit with the sun. Gravity can help in lots of ways it keeps buildings in tact, if your driving it keeps cars on the ground if we didn't have gravity we would have nothing unless you are an expert at flying into your home. It keeps us healthy with food because food will fly around if there is no gravity.

Science Post

Last year when I was in year 7 room 29, Rimu house had a competition for house hui, we had to build a roller coaster out of paper. My group made it out of cardboard. Our group had a theme of a lake. We had cardboard on the bottom and three big cylinders in the middle holding it all together. Our group had a couple of loops, turns, jumps and spirals. We had some cool affects like waves going round the track, we had a shark at the bottom and a couple of men around the bottom on top of an island. The room 42 boys had made a bigger and better one then most of Rimu they had more jumps, turns, loops, spirals and things on it.
